Soul Fit

 

At each and every dawn

I rise and don your essence.

Hugging me 

with the warmth of a winter coat

-a perfectly-sized hand over my heart-

it protects me

from freezing realities,

from harsh, abrasive egos

whose only aim is destruction

of others' souls.

 

Heart's Winter

 

Heart buried-

     under shifting drifts of memories

Emotions shrouded-

     buffeted by gale-force winds

Left cold-

     by life's icy breezes

     and fiery blizzards

Frozen-

     in winter's flashback

Awaiting-

     enlightenment of spring
