Heart's Winter

 

Heart buried-

     under shifting drifts of memories

Emotions shrouded-

     buffeted by gale-force winds

Left cold-

     by life's icy breezes

     and fiery blizzards

Frozen-

     in winter's flashback

Awaiting-

     enlightenment of spring
